Texas comes in No. 1 for new residents in latest Census data

“Texas added more new residents than any other state over the past year and now has a population of more than 31 million.

According to estimates released Dec. 19 by the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas added a little less than 563,000 residents between July 1, 2023 and July 1, 2024.”
