600-plus jobs on tap as company seeks to expand, plant U.S. HQ in Arlington

“DIn Arlington, Salcomp is the manufacturing contractor for Enphase Energy Inc. (Nasdaq: ENPH) for about 60% the company’s microinverters to supply the global solar energy panel industry and started manufacturing last August. Now, Salcomp wants to add three additional production lines to its operations and establish its U.S. headquarters in Arlington, according to an Arlington Economic Development Corp. staff report Sept. 24.

The expansion could bring 660 new jobs over the course of three to five years, according to the report. Of those positions, 156, or about 23% of the new hires, will make an average annual salary of $122,000.“
