FDIC expands downtown Dallas
regional hub after office mandate

“The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. is expanding its regional office in downtown Dallas months after telling employees to return to the office at least two days a week.

The federal agency is expanding its regional office into two floors at Plaza of the Americas at 600 N. Pearl St. in Dallas, with plans to invest $2.5 million to build out floors 10 and 11 within the south tower. One of those floors — the 10th — was part of the FDIC’s seven-floor, 163,000-square-foot lease that it signed in 2021 but had been left vacant. The 11th floor totaling nearly 20,000 square feet was acquired by the FDIC under a lease amendment, a spokesperson told CoStar News.
