Multifamily supply-demand imbalance
shifts in Dallas-Fort Worth
“As of the fourth quarter of 2024, 24% of renter neighborhoods in Dallas-Fort Worth report demand outpacing supply. That share is above the 5% reported in the third quarter of 2023, where the imbalance most heavily favored supply. In the past year, renter demand has registered 27,100 units while builders have added 41,366 units. That’s the largest wave of supply reported in Dallas-Fort Worth and leads the country.“
